Each hurdle has a time limit of 30 seconds. If a Walker has not cleared the hurdle in 30 seconds it will not be awarded a point for that hurdle, but can continue with the other remaining hurdles. One Point is awarded for each hurdle cleared. Times are also recorded to help determine winners if a tie results when the sum of points from all three walker events are added together. The race track will be the Level Distance Race track. The obstacles will be progressively higher hurdles to climb over. Each hurdle is 36 inches in length to span the width of the race track. There are a total of 6 hurdles. The first hurdle is 1/4 inches high, by 1/2 inches wide. The second hurdle is 1/2 inches high, by 1/2 inches wide. The third is 1 inch high by 1/2 inches wide. The next three hurdles will vary within the given minimum and maximum range, and should be stepped, and get progressively wider at the base(width). They must be a minimum of 1 1/2 inches high, to a maximum of 3 1/2 high, with a maximum base width of 9 inches.
